About this asset

This 3ds Max scene features a curated indoor botanical display of cacti, succulents, and palms set within a gravel bed. This botanical arrangement showcases a diverse collection of desert flora, including tall columnar cacti, round barrel cacti, prickly pear varieties, and a prominent fan palm. The plants are grouped in a naturalistic composition, anchored by a dark spherical sculpture and set against a backdrop of arched wall niches. The ground cover consists of fine white gravel, providing a clean, high-contrast base for the varied textures and green tones of the vegetation. The arrangement is balanced, with height variations creating visual interest suitable for a feature display in a modern interior.

The download is a 138 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) scene. Open it in 3ds Max; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this scene into 3ds Max, ensure the plant proxies or high-poly meshes are properly linked to their respective texture maps. Use the scene as a reference for scale and lighting, adjusting the material shaders to react correctly to your project's light environment. For optimal performance in large interior views, consider merging only specific plant assets from the set into your master file, maintaining the original pivot points for easy placement and rotation within your architectural model.

This botanical set is ideal for staging high-end residential lobbies, luxury retail showrooms, or contemporary hotel interiors where a desert-inspired aesthetic is desired. It pairs effectively with minimalist stone flooring, neutral wall finishes, and architectural lighting that accentuates the organic forms. Architects and interior designers can use this scene to quickly populate feature corners, atrium spaces, or transition zones, searching for terms like indoor xeriscaping, desert plant arrangement, or feature botanical display to find similar professional assets for their visualization projects.
