Contemporary Natural Wood and Rope Hanging Planter

This contemporary SketchUp model features a natural wood cylinder planter suspended by white rope with trailing green foliage. The planter consists of a hollow, cylindrical wooden tube, finished in a light natural tone. Each end of the cylinder is wrapped with white rope detailing, providing a textural contrast to the smooth wood grain. A simple white rope loop is secured to the centre of the cylinder, allowing for suspension. The vegetation is represented as a trailing plant with delicate, multi-lobed green leaves cascading from the central opening of the timber tube. The overall form is lightweight and minimalist, suited for vertical accentuation in interior spaces requiring a touch of biophilic design.

The download is a 1.4 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this component is best managed by placing it within its own layer or tag to easily toggle visibility during high-poly rendering phases. Users should check the model scale upon insertion, as hanging elements often require slight adjustment to match specific ceiling heights. The foliage textures are mapped to standard faces; if using an external renderer, apply procedural transparency maps to the leaves to maintain performance while achieving realistic depth and light transmission through the canopy of the trailing plant.

This asset is ideal for residential living rooms, boutique retail displays, or hotel lobbies where vertical greenery is needed to soften architectural corners. It pairs well with modern or scandinavian interior palettes, providing a natural focal point when grouped in clusters or suspended individually against neutral wall finishes. Professionals searching for biophilic elements, hanging decor, or small-scale indoor greenery will find this model effective for adding life to kitchen windows, bathroom vanity areas, or contemporary cafe settings during the project visualisation phase.
