About this asset

This modern black metal partition for SketchUp features an integrated shelving system holding two lush, trailing indoor plants. Constructed from a slim-profile black metal frame, this floor-to-ceiling partition combines structural screening with vertical planting. The design features a linear, slatted aesthetic at the top and base, providing visual transparency while maintaining zone separation. Two central, recessed containers are built directly into the frame, designed to house cascading indoor plants. The foliage is rendered with dense, overlapping leaves that spill over the edges, creating a soft, natural contrast against the rigid, geometric metal structure. The entire unit is supported by flat, rectangular mounting plates at the base and ceiling.

The download is a 440 KB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Within SketchUp, this model is managed as a single component or group, allowing for easy placement and scaling to fit specific floor-to-ceiling heights. Users should ensure the model is correctly aligned on the floor plane to maintain the integrity of the ceiling mounts. Given the high density of the foliage geometry, it is recommended to place this asset on a dedicated layer to manage viewport performance. Materials are applied as standard textures, which can be easily adjusted or replaced to suit specific project colour palettes.

Ideal for creating soft boundaries in open-plan offices, residential living areas, or hotel lobbies, this partition supports biophilic design strategies. It pairs well with minimalist or industrial interiors where a combination of hard architectural lines and natural green elements is required. Professionals often search for this type of asset when looking for decorative room dividers, vertical garden screens, or interior landscaping solutions. It is particularly effective in commercial reception areas or breakout spaces where a semi-private, welcoming atmosphere is desired.
