About this asset

This vintage-style blue metal desk fan set is a SketchUp model featuring a classic protective wire cage and a three-blade design. This set includes two vintage-inspired desk fans, each finished in a deep blue tone with contrasting light-coloured blades. The units feature a robust, rounded base and a protective wire cage typical of mid-century electrical appliances. The motor housing is compact and cylindrical, connected to the base with an adjustable tilt mechanism. A thin power cord with a plug is included, trailing from the rear of the motor assembly. The proportions are balanced, capturing the industrial aesthetic of early twentieth-century cooling equipment, suitable for adding a touch of period-accurate detail to a workspace or living area.

The download is a 2.6 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 2 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, these fans are organised as components, allowing for easy placement on desks, shelves, or side tables. Use the rotation tool to adjust the tilt of the fan head to suit your specific camera angle. The materials are applied as standard surfaces, which can be easily edited or replaced within the material browser to match your interior colour scheme. Ensure the model is placed on a flat surface to maintain realistic contact points for your final render or presentation.

These fans are ideal for styling home offices, study rooms, or retro-themed bedroom interiors. They pair effectively with mid-century modern furniture, wooden writing desks, or bookshelf arrangements. Professionals often use such assets to add character and lived-in detail to architectural visualisations, particularly for residential or hospitality projects where a nostalgic or eclectic aesthetic is required. Search for these when sourcing period-appropriate accessories, desktop decor, or small vintage electrical items to enhance the realism of a digital scene or interior design proposal.
