Traditional Dark Wood Kitchen with Island

This traditional dark wood kitchen 3ds Max model features a functional island with integrated sink and a striking green herringbone backsplash. This traditional kitchen configuration centres around a rich, dark-stained wood cabinetry set. The design includes a full-height wall unit integrated with a double-door refrigerator and upper storage cabinets with glass-fronted detailing. A prominent kitchen island features a light stone countertop, a central sink, and distinctive, ornately turned corner posts. The backsplash is finished in a vibrant green ceramic tile arranged in a classic herringbone pattern, providing a sharp contrast to the deep, textured wood grain of the cabinetry. The hardware remains understated, allowing the ornate woodwork of the island and the cabinetry profile to dominate the visual composition.

When integrating this kitchen into a 3ds Max scene, ensure the units are placed on a dedicated layer for easy toggle visibility. The model relies on clean geometry, making it straightforward to apply custom materials or adjust UV mapping on the cabinets. Users should check the pivot points of the island and cabinet doors before layout adjustments. Lighting this setup effectively requires balancing the dark wood tones against the reflective stone surfaces, typically achieved by placing a soft area light over the island and refrigerator zone.
