About this asset

This modern SketchUp model features a set of four retractable ceiling fans with integrated circular LED lighting and chrome finishes. This set includes four ceiling fan units, each featuring a polished chrome housing and a central integrated circular LED luminaire. The blades are constructed from transparent acrylic, designed to retract when the fan is inactive, giving the fixture the appearance of a standard flush-mount ceiling light. The design is sleek and functional, combining air circulation with ambient lighting. The set displays two variations of the fan in both active and retracted states, allowing for versatile placement within a 3D environment to demonstrate different operational modes of the hardware.

The download is a 1.4 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 4 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate these fans into a SketchUp scene, place them as components using the origin point at the ceiling canopy. The model is organised with clear layers, enabling users to toggle between the fan-extended and fan-retracted states easily. Apply high-transparency materials to the acrylic blades to achieve realistic light refraction and use emissive properties on the circular LED light panel for accurate interior illumination. Ensure the downrod length is adjusted during placement to suit specific ceiling heights within your architectural model.

These units are well-suited for contemporary residential interiors, particularly open-plan living areas, bedrooms, and dining spaces where dual-purpose fixtures are required. They pair effectively with minimalist or high-tech interior schemes, providing a clean, unobtrusive aesthetic when the fan is not in use. Professionals can utilise this set for residential renovation projects or new build visualisations, searching for retractable fans, combination light-fans, or modern ceiling fixtures to enhance ventilation and lighting layouts in high-end apartments or coastal homes.
