About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max kitchen island features a marble cabinet base paired with a natural wood live-edge dining extension and stools. This kitchen island set combines a substantial stone-clad cabinet base with an integrated, cantilevered dining surface. The base is finished in a veined white and grey marble, providing a solid, monolithic appearance. Attached to the side is a long, natural-toned wood table featuring a raw, live-edge profile that contrasts with the refined stone. The assembly includes four matching bar stools with slim metal frames and upholstered seats. Small decorative elements, including a potted bonsai and glassware, are included to demonstrate scale and context for high-end residential kitchen design.

The download is an 18.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model holding 5 separate objects, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised into logical layers for easy manipulation of the stone, wood, and metal components. Users should ensure the island is scaled correctly to their floor plan before merging. The materials are set up with standard mapping, allowing for quick adjustments to wood grain orientation or stone texture tiling. Lighting should be configured to highlight the reflective properties of the marble and the matte finish of the timber, ensuring realistic shadows underneath the cantilevered dining section.

Ideal for open-plan residential kitchen and dining areas, this island set serves as a central social hub. It works effectively in luxury apartment projects or high-end hospitality interiors where the kitchen transitions into a living space. Professionals can use this asset to define breakfast zones or informal dining areas. It pairs well with modern pendant lighting and minimalist cabinetry, often searched for when specifying high-specification kitchen islands, stone-topped furniture, or integrated dining solutions for contemporary interior design schemes.
