Contemporary Grey Marble and Timber Kitchen Island

This contemporary 3ds Max kitchen island features a grey marble block integrated with a natural timber counter and metal elements. The island presents a hybrid construction, pairing a solid grey marble block at one end with a horizontal timber beam structure that extends to form an open-frame counter. This design creates a distinct contrast between the heavy, monolithic stone and the linear, warm wood grain. The configuration includes an integrated seating space, ideal for bar stools, while the metallic accents provide a refined finish. The proportions are elongated, suitable for open-plan layouts where the island serves as both a functional preparation surface and a social hub for dining or casual morning coffee.

The download is a 15 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is structured with logical grouping for easy material assignment and placement. Users should check the pivot point upon import to ensure alignment with the floor plane. The marble and wood textures are mapped to standard channels; ensure your scene's light setup accounts for the reflective properties of the stone surface. The model is scaled to real-world units, making it straightforward to snap into place within a larger architectural environment or kitchen interior layout.

This piece is well-suited for high-end residential kitchen designs, luxury apartment developments, or boutique hospitality projects like café counters and hotel lounge areas. It pairs effectively with minimalist bar stools and pendant lighting to define a kitchen or dining zone. Professionals searching for a statement island, stone-and-wood kitchen furniture, or a functional breakfast bar will find this asset versatile for both photorealistic interior visualisations and high-detail architectural planning in contemporary settings where clean lines and material texture are prioritised.
