Contemporary Black Marble and Dark Wood Kitchen Island Set

This contemporary SketchUp kitchen island set features a black marble block with an integrated dark timber dining table and four chairs. This kitchen island set combines a sculptural, monolithic aesthetic with functional living space. The main island body is finished in a high-contrast black marble with prominent white veining, featuring a minimalist integrated sink. Extending from the side is a long, cantilevered dining table crafted from dark-stained timber, providing a seamless transition between food preparation and social dining. The set includes four matching chairs, each featuring dark frames and leather-toned upholstery. The clean lines and bold material palette make this a focal point for modern open-plan kitchen and dining arrangements.

The download is a 52.2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 5 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is organised into logical groups for the island, table, and chairs, allowing for easy placement and rotation within a floor plan. The textures are mapped to standard faces, enabling simple adjustments to the wood grain orientation or marble tiling scale. Users should check the component axes before insertion to ensure proper snapping to the floor plane. The geometry is clean, making it suitable for quick visualisations or detailed interior design documentation without excessive overhead.

Ideal for high-end residential projects, luxury apartments, and boutique hospitality spaces, this island set serves as a sophisticated centrepiece in open-concept floor plans. It pairs effectively with minimalist cabinetry and statement pendant lighting to create a cohesive, high-contrast interior. Architects and interior designers often search for integrated island-dining solutions like this to maximise space efficiency in compact luxury homes. It is well-suited for mid-to-late stage design development where specific furniture layouts are required for client presentations and detailed interior rendering.
