Contemporary Black Fluted Kitchen Island

This contemporary black fluted kitchen island for 3ds Max features a minimalist rectangular silhouette with a decorative textured base. This kitchen island presents a sleek, monochromatic aesthetic defined by its vertical fluted paneling along the front and side faces. The structure is finished in a matte black, providing a bold visual anchor for modern interiors. The top surface is clean and flat, designed to accommodate various decorative elements such as the included glass vase, small tray, and fruit bowl. Its proportions are elongated and rectilinear, suggesting a sophisticated piece for open-plan living spaces where the island serves as both a functional preparation area and a refined sculptural feature in the room.

The download is a 19.7 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this model into your 3ds Max scene, merge the file into your master project file and assign the object to a dedicated 'Kitchen' layer for visibility management. Ensure the surface materials are correctly mapped using the native UVW coordinates provided. You may need to adjust the light intensity of the scene to properly highlight the subtle shadows created by the fluted base detailing. Check the scale against your floor plan to ensure it fits the intended circulation path around the island.

Ideal for high-end residential kitchen designs or luxury apartment show homes, this island works effectively in contemporary or minimalist interior schemes. It pairs well with high-backed bar stools and minimal pendant lighting. Professionals should search for this piece when specifying feature islands, luxury kitchen joinery, or focal furniture for open-plan dining and living areas. It is suitable for architectural visualization projects requiring a polished, modern look, particularly in spaces that demand a strong, dark contrast to lighter wall finishes and flooring.
