About this asset

This 3ds Max scene features an organic rock sculpture adorned with moss and ferns, ideal for high-end biophilic visualisations. The asset presents a highly detailed, porous stone formation reminiscent of traditional scholar stones or karst formations. Its irregular, cavernous structure is densely populated with realistic vegetation, including patches of moss, delicate ferns, and small shrubbery that cling to the crevices. The composition is grounded on a naturalistic base, creating a self-contained, island-like aesthetic. The colour palette is dominated by neutral, weathered grey tones of the rock contrasted against vibrant, varied shades of green from the plant life, capturing a sense of aged, natural serenity and organic growth.

The download is a 37.8 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) scene, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Designed for 3ds Max, this scene arrives with pre-configured geometry and materials, allowing for immediate placement within a larger environment. Users should import the asset into their master file, ensuring that texture paths are correctly linked to maintain the integrity of the foliage and stone shaders. Given its density, it is best placed as a focal point in a scene, where its complex silhouette can be highlighted by controlled lighting to accentuate the depth and texture of the mossy surfaces.

This sculpture is well-suited for luxury residential projects, boutique hotel lobbies, and high-concept restaurant interiors where biophilic design is a priority. It serves as an effective statement piece for indoor rock gardens, atrium displays, or meditative spaces. Professionals searching for naturalistic decor, zen-inspired elements, or detailed landscape assets will find this model useful for adding authentic, weathered character to architectural renders. It pairs well with minimalist interior palettes, raw concrete finishes, or timber-heavy environments to create a balanced, nature-integrated aesthetic.
