Natural Wood Japanese Tea Room Interior Scene

This Japanese tea room interior scene is a comprehensive SketchUp model featuring traditional timber joinery and sliding screens. Defined by a serene aesthetic, this tea room scene showcases a harmonious blend of traditional Japanese elements and contemporary functional design. The space is framed by dark-stained timber sliding screens with grid-patterned glazing, which open onto a stone-paved transition area. A minimalist long desk sits at the centre, accompanied by a structured wooden chair and a soft, blush-pink cylindrical ottoman. The rear wall features an expansive, modular shelving unit with integrated warm-toned wood boxes, housing curated decor, books, and small ceramic vessels. The ceiling is exposed timber, adding rhythmic depth to the overall composition.

The download is a 152 MB file containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Users can leverage this SketchUp model as a foundational template for high-end residential or hospitality interior visualisations. The file structure permits easy modification of individual components, allowing designers to swap textures or adjust the lighting environment to suit specific project needs. Best practice involves grouping the geometry by material or function to streamline the application of render-ready shaders. The scene is pre-composed to facilitate quick camera placement and perspective alignment, ensuring efficient integration into existing workflows for architectural presentation and conceptual design development.
