About this asset

This modern children bedroom scene for SketchUp features a bespoke integrated joinery unit with a built-in bed and desk. This comprehensive bedroom interior presents a cohesive, contemporary design tailored for children. The focal point is a large, custom floor-to-ceiling joinery unit finished in light grey, incorporating a recessed bed nook shaped like a house silhouette. A dedicated study area is seamlessly integrated into the cabinetry, featuring a floating desk and overhead storage. The palette is muted, relying on tones of grey, off-white, and warm wood flooring to create a calm environment. Decorative elements include whimsical globe-shaped pendant lighting, a soft oval rug, and curated accessories that provide a playful yet sophisticated aesthetic.

The download is a 283 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Working with this SketchUp scene involves managing the pre-composed layers to isolate furniture, lighting, and architectural elements. Users can easily adjust the materials by editing the native SketchUp textures or applying new finishes to the primary joinery components. The lighting setup is already configured, allowing for quick render tests within compatible plugins. To integrate this into a larger project, simply import the file as a component and adjust the global scale to match the dimensions of the host model.

Ideal for residential interior design projects, this scene serves as a high-quality reference for children room layouts and bespoke furniture detailing. It is particularly useful for architects and interior designers during the concept stage to communicate spatial flow and joinery integration to clients. Professionals can leverage this model to explore custom cabinetry configurations, lighting arrangements, and material palettes for kids bedrooms. It pairs well with minimalist or contemporary residential schemes, offering a professional foundation for final visualisations and client presentations.
