Modern Contemporary Open-Plan Kitchen and Living Room Scene

This contemporary open-plan kitchen and living room SketchUp scene features a cohesive neutral palette with integrated furniture. This fully furnished interior scene showcases a balanced open-plan layout combining a sleek kitchen with a relaxed lounge. The kitchen area includes handleless white upper cabinetry and dark timber-grain lower units, paired with a compact dining set. A beige fabric sofa anchors the living zone, accented by blue chevron cushions and a low-profile glass-topped coffee table. Vertical timber slats and a large framed landscape print provide textural contrast against the clean white walls. The space is illuminated by recessed downlights and a statement arched floor lamp, creating a warm, inviting residential atmosphere.

The download is a 122 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Utilise this SketchUp scene as a foundational template for interior rendering workflows. The model is organised with grouped geometry for easy modification of furniture layouts or material overrides. Users can adjust lighting intensity through the native settings or export the scene to external render engines for advanced material mapping and photorealistic output. Ensure layers are managed correctly when merging additional custom assets to maintain performance during viewport navigation and final scene composition.

Ideal for residential interior design projects, this scene serves as a reference for apartment living and open-plan spatial planning. It works well for early-stage conceptual visualisation or as a base for marketing imagery in real estate developments. Professionals searching for modern living room designs, compact kitchen layouts, or contemporary furniture arrangements will find this asset useful. It pairs effectively with diverse floor finishes and can be adapted for various client presentation needs in both high-end and standard residential schemes.
