Japanese Inspired Tea Room Interior Scene

This Japanese inspired tea room interior scene for 3ds Max features a raised timber platform, integrated shelving, and a clean minimalist workspace. Defined by a serene, natural palette, this interior scene centres on a raised timber platform designed for tea service, complete with low-profile floor seating. The space is anchored by an expansive, custom-built shelving unit with integrated LED lighting, providing a structured yet airy display area. To the right, a minimalist timber desk offers a dedicated workspace, complemented by a simple chair. The walls feature subtle, rhythmic paneling and vertical slats, which add texture without disrupting the calm, monochromatic aesthetic. Every element, from the recessed ceiling lighting to the curated decor objects, maintains a cohesive, balanced atmosphere.

The download is a 375 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) scene, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Optimised for 3ds Max, this scene is structured for immediate architectural visualisation. Users can easily adjust the camera angles to frame specific zones, such as the tea platform or the desk area. The model includes pre-mapped materials and lighting setups that respond well to standard global illumination engines. Layers are organised to allow for the quick isolation of furniture, decor, or structural elements, making it straightforward to swap assets or modify the lighting temperature to suit specific project requirements.
