Grey Contemporary Open-Plan Living Room Scene

This contemporary open-plan living room scene for 3ds Max features a balanced neutral palette with bold orange accents. This professional interior scene presents a sophisticated open-plan layout, seamlessly connecting a living area with a compact dining zone. The primary seating features a modular grey fabric sectional sofa, paired with a minimalist circular glass coffee table and a striking orange lounge chair. Storage is handled by a full-height, wall-mounted white cabinetry unit that integrates a television and wine display. Dark timber wall panelling provides a dramatic contrast, while a dramatic triple-ring pendant light assembly serves as the central focal point, complemented by recessed track lighting throughout the ceiling.

The download is a 201 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) scene. Open it in 3ds Max; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Designed for 3ds Max, this scene is structured for immediate rendering workflows. Users can easily manage individual assets by navigating the pre-organised layer system, which separates lighting, furniture, and architectural shells. Materials are mapped with realistic textures, allowing for quick adjustments to shaders or light temperatures. The file includes pre-configured camera angles and lighting setups, making it suitable for rapid prototyping or as a foundation for high-end residential visualisation projects requiring minimal scene assembly.

Ideal for residential interior design projects, this scene provides a ready-to-render environment for showcasing living and dining concepts. It is particularly effective for high-end apartment marketing, where a polished, modern aesthetic is required. Architects and visualisers can use this as a base to test material palettes or lighting schemes in open-plan spaces. The composition pairs well with contemporary decor styles and can be adapted for various project stages, from initial concept visualisations to final client presentations for luxury residential developments.
