Contemporary Zen Garden Scene with Sakura Tree and Gabion Planters

This contemporary Zen garden scene for 3ds Max features a flowering Sakura tree, industrial stone-filled gabion planters, and hanging Edison-style lighting. The composition centres on a delicate pink-blossomed Sakura tree, illuminated by a cluster of suspended Edison-style filament bulbs that create a warm, moody atmosphere. Flanking the tree are two vertical, rectangular gabion-style metal cages, densely packed with smooth white river stones. Above, a minimalist floating shelf supports two potted ferns, adding a layer of organic greenery. The entire ensemble is set against a dark, mountainous horizon, emphasising the contrast between the sharp industrial metal frames, the soft floral textures, and the clean geometric lines of the stone-filled containers.

The download is a 24.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) scene, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Designed for 3ds Max, this scene is organised for straightforward integration into larger architectural visualisations. Users can merge the file into an existing project, adjusting the lighting intensity or bloom effects as required to match the surrounding environment. The assets are grouped by type, allowing for easy selection and scaling of individual elements like the gabion planters or the tree. Materials are mapped and ready for standard render pipelines, with the hanging lights providing a pre-set focal point for night-time exterior shots.
