About this asset

This contemporary living room scene for SketchUp features a dark, sophisticated palette with a raised platform lounge area. This complete interior scene showcases a refined, contemporary aesthetic defined by a dark charcoal and grey colour scheme accented with deep red upholstery. The layout features a large, low-profile modular sofa, a minimalist coffee table, and an accent armchair positioned on a raised timber platform. The space is anchored by a striking rectangular crystal chandelier and a bespoke wall-to-wall storage unit with integrated shelving and fireplace elements. Floor-to-ceiling sheer curtains provide a soft contrast to the structured, moody architectural lines of the room, while a bold patterned rug ties the seating arrangement together.

The download is a 930 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Designed for rapid interior visualisation, this SketchUp scene allows users to quickly drop in cameras and adjust lighting to suit specific project needs. The model is organised with clear layer separation, making it simple to isolate individual furniture pieces for use in other projects. Users can adjust the material textures or swap out assets while maintaining the established spatial composition. It serves as an efficient base for rendering workflows, whether using built-in tools or external engines to refine the final output.

Ideal for high-end residential projects, hotel lobby concepts, or luxury apartment marketing, this scene provides a polished starting point for interior designers and visualisers. It works well for those seeking a moody, sophisticated atmosphere and pairs seamlessly with minimalist or luxury furniture collections. Professionals might search for this when conceptualising open-plan living areas, entertainment spaces, or formal lounges, particularly when looking to demonstrate how dark tones and textured fabrics can be used to create depth within a large, modern floor plan.
