Beige Japanese Zen Tea Room Interior Scene

This Japanese Zen tea room interior scene for SketchUp features a tranquil rock garden and a raised timber platform for authentic tea ceremonies. Defined by a serene, minimalist aesthetic, this interior scene centres on a raised tatami-style platform constructed from light-toned timber. A low-profile tea table is accompanied by circular wooden seating, creating a grounded, meditative arrangement. The surrounding floor is finished with dark, angular grey aggregate, punctuated by large, smooth feature stones and a meticulously pruned bonsai tree. To the rear, a textured wall relief mimics the silhouette of distant mountains, illuminated by integrated ambient lighting. The space is framed by delicate, grid-patterned timber screens that filter light, enhancing the overall sense of quiet, balanced harmony.

The download is a 104 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Utilise this SketchUp scene as a foundational environment for high-end interior visualisations. The file is structured to allow for easy adjustment of lighting parameters and material textures. Architects can integrate their own furniture pieces onto the raised platform or modify the screen partitions to suit specific project layouts. Given the complexity of the rock garden geometry, it is recommended to manage the scene using layers or tags to maintain viewport performance while refining camera angles for final render output.
