About this asset

This contemporary dining chair for SketchUp features a curved, quilted backrest and light wood legs, finished in a clean white fabric. Defined by its compact, ergonomic silhouette, this dining chair features a continuous curved backrest that flows seamlessly into short, integrated armrests. The interior surface of the back is detailed with a subtle quilted grid pattern, providing texture to the plain white upholstery. The seat is well-cushioned with a clean, rounded profile. Supporting the upper structure are four tapered legs rendered in a light, natural timber finish, which contrast against the soft fabric. The overall proportions are balanced for domestic or commercial use, offering a blend of comfort and structural minimalism.

The download is a 3.1 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Utilise this SketchUp model by importing it directly into your scene as a component. The geometry is organised into logical groups, allowing for easy material replacement or texture scaling on the upholstery and wood components. Ensure your model units are set to millimetres to maintain accurate scale. Because the model is lightweight, it is suitable for populating larger restaurant or office layouts without significant performance degradation. Apply soft global illumination to highlight the quilted details on the backrest during final rendering.

This piece is well-suited for modern interior design projects, particularly in residential dining rooms, boutique cafes, or collaborative office breakout spaces. Its neutral colour palette pairs effectively with light oak dining tables or minimalist workstation setups. Professionals searching for a versatile seating solution with a soft, inviting aesthetic will find this model useful for residential or hospitality visualisations. It integrates well into scenes requiring a clean, contemporary look, often grouped in sets of four or six around a central table.
