About this asset

This white sheer fabric curtain panel for SketchUp features a soft, vertical pleated design suitable for light-filtering window treatments. This single-panel curtain features a classic, vertical-pleated header that creates consistent, soft folds from top to bottom. The material is rendered with a translucent, sheer quality, ideal for diffusing natural light while maintaining a clean, minimalist aesthetic. The geometry is simple and effective, designed to drape naturally against a wall or window frame. The neutral white colour ensures versatility across various interior palettes, from modern residential living spaces to upscale hotel suites. Its lightweight appearance is balanced by the structured pleating, providing a realistic representation of soft window drapery in a digital environment.

The download is a 2.8 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this component is best managed by placing it on a dedicated 'Curtains' or 'Soft Furnishings' layer to maintain model organisation. Users can easily scale the height to match specific window openings or duplicate the panel to extend the width along a curtain rod. The material properties can be adjusted within the native material editor to control the level of transparency or add a subtle texture map for increased visual depth during the final render.

These curtains are essential for adding realism to residential bedroom, living room, and dining room scenes. They pair seamlessly with modern interior design schemes, particularly in spaces that require a light, airy feel or a soft transition between indoor and outdoor areas. Professionals often search for these assets when staging architectural visualisations for apartments, luxury homes, or boutique hospitality projects. They are frequently used to soften the edges of window frames and enhance the overall warmth and comfort of a rendered interior space.
