About this asset

This white contemporary cylindrical stool for SketchUp features a distinct scale-textured exterior, providing a sculptural seating option. This sculptural stool features a clean, cylindrical form defined by an intricate, layered scale or scalloped pattern wrapping around its entire perimeter. The flat, circular top provides a stable surface for seating, while the textured sides introduce a rhythmic, tactile quality to the piece. Finished in a uniform, matte white, the design relies on shadow and depth created by the overlapping elements rather than complex geometry. Its proportions are compact and balanced, making it suitable for use as a standalone accent piece or grouped as a playful, decorative seating arrangement in modern interiors.

The download is a 9.6 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Within SketchUp, this model is structured as a single component, allowing for easy placement and manipulation within your project file. Users should verify the scale upon insertion to ensure it aligns with standard seat heights. Because the geometry is repetitive, it is efficient to handle; consider applying a secondary material or colour to the individual scale components if a custom aesthetic is required. Manage the model using the Outliner to keep the scene organised, particularly when using multiple instances for larger seating layouts.

This stool fits well into contemporary residential living areas, boutique retail showrooms, or modern hotel lobbies where a unique accent piece is required. It works effectively as additional seating in a lounge, a side table substitute in a reading nook, or as a decorative element in a dressing room. Architects and designers can use this model in projects where the interior design calls for textural interest and geometric simplicity. It pairs well with minimalist furniture or bold, colourful surroundings to create contrast.
