About this asset

White horizontal Venetian blinds modelled for SketchUp, featuring a standard slat configuration with a corded manual operating mechanism. These horizontal Venetian blinds feature a clean, linear aesthetic defined by slim, uniform slats finished in a crisp white. The assembly includes a top headrail housing the mechanism and a bottom rail for weight and alignment. A side-mounted cord allows for the adjustment of slat tilt and height. The geometry is lightweight, focusing on the profile of the individual slats to provide realistic light-filtering effects when rendered. The design is functional and understated, suitable for a wide range of interior styles that require effective daylight control without heavy visual bulk.

The download is a 2.4 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, these blinds function as a component that can be easily scaled to fit various window dimensions. Users should ensure the orientation is correct against the window frame and adjust the vertical position using the move tool. Materials are applied to the slat geometry; consider modifying the opacity or finish to simulate different levels of transparency or reflection. The model is grouped to allow for easy manipulation or replacement of the texture mapping if specific material finishes are required for the scene.

These blinds are ideal for residential home offices, contemporary living areas, and commercial office spaces where clean, adjustable window treatments are necessary. They pair well with minimalist interior palettes and can be used to add depth to window recesses in architectural visualisations. Professionals often search for these when specifying functional shading solutions for modern apartments or corporate fit-outs. They are particularly effective when placed in front of glazing to suggest a realistic, lived-in environment while maintaining a tidy, organised appearance in the model.
