About this asset

This SketchUp model features a pair of contemporary white fabric curtains with integrated tie-backs for elegant window dressing. The asset consists of two identical floor-length curtains finished in a clean white fabric. Each curtain is gathered at the mid-section by a decorative tassel tie-back, creating a soft, draped aesthetic with natural-looking folds and volume. The top section features a standard pleated header, while the lower portion flows toward the floor. The proportions are balanced, making these suitable for standard residential window heights. The design relies on clean geometry to convey the weight and texture of the fabric, providing a realistic look for interior visualisations without excessive complexity.

The download is a 4.3 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 2 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, import this component into your project file to quickly dress interior windows. Use the scale tool to adjust the height to match your specific floor-to-ceiling dimensions, ensuring the tie-back height remains consistent. Apply custom fabric materials or textures to the surface if a different opacity or pattern is required for your render. Ensure the model is placed on a dedicated layer for easy toggling during the design process, especially when managing complex interior scenes with multiple light sources.

These curtains are ideal for residential bedrooms, living areas, or hotel suites where a soft, finished look is required. They pair well with modern or transitional interiors, adding texture to minimalist spaces. Architects and interior designers might search for these when specifying window treatments for high-end residential projects or hospitality fit-outs. They are particularly effective for adding a sense of scale and comfort to empty rooms in early-stage visualisations, helping clients visualise the final atmosphere of a space.
