About this asset

This white contemporary wall panel, modelled in SketchUp, features a dense, layered arrangement of circular discs creating a tactile relief. This decorative wall panel consists of a rectangular base densely populated with overlapping circular discs, creating a dynamic, organic texture reminiscent of fish scales or floral petals. The varying orientation and depth of the individual discs generate complex light and shadow play across the surface, providing a highly tactile aesthetic. Finished in a uniform matte white, the piece functions as a sculptural element suitable for feature walls. Its geometric complexity is achieved through repetitive, layered components, offering a sophisticated, modern aesthetic that adds depth and visual interest to flat interior surfaces.

The download is a 108 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this panel into a SketchUp scene, place it as a component against a vertical surface. Given the high density of the circular geometry, ensure the model is placed on a dedicated layer to manage viewport performance. Apply custom material settings to the discs to enhance the depth of the shadows, and use standard alignment tools to tile multiple panels seamlessly if covering a larger wall area. Adjust lighting intensity to accentuate the relief detail.

Ideal for luxury residential interiors, high-end hotel lobbies, or boutique retail spaces, this panel acts as a striking focal point. It pairs effectively with minimalist furniture, where its intricate surface provides a necessary contrast to clean, simple lines. Professionals frequently specify such decorative elements for feature walls in living rooms, reception areas, or behind headboards in bedrooms.
