About this asset

This modern folding chair for SketchUp features a white tubular metal frame and a durable grey fabric seat and backrest. Designed with a minimalist aesthetic, this folding chair is defined by its clean, white-painted tubular metal structure. The frame features a simple, functional geometry with protective black end caps on the base for stability and floor protection. The seat and backrest are upholstered in a textured, light grey woven fabric that provides a neutral look suitable for various interior or exterior settings. Its lightweight construction is evident in the slender profiles of the frame, which maintains a balanced proportion between the structural support and the flexible seating surface, ensuring both portability and utility.

The download is a 1.2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is structured as a component, allowing for easy placement within a scene. Users should utilise the native layering system to manage the chair's visibility, especially in dense furniture layouts. The materials are applied as standard SketchUp textures, which can be easily swapped or adjusted in the materials tray to match specific project colour palettes. Scaling is straightforward due to the clean geometry, making it simple to align with existing table heights or storage configurations.

This folding chair is an ideal asset for temporary seating arrangements in residential balconies, small cafe terraces, or informal break-out areas in commercial offices. It pairs well with lightweight bistro tables or can be used as supplementary seating in tight dining spaces. Professionals often search for this type of versatile, stackable, or collapsible furniture when planning multi-functional spaces, event venues, or compact urban apartments where floor space is at a premium and flexibility is a key design requirement.
