About this asset

This vintage-style 3ds Max saloon door set features a dark wood louvered design with a classic western-inspired curved top profile. Constructed as a pair of swinging doors, this model features a distinct western aesthetic characterized by horizontal louvered slats and a decorative, undulating upper edge. The wood grain texture is rendered in a deep walnut-brown finish, providing a rich, traditional appearance. Each panel is designed to mount independently, allowing for typical saloon-style operation. The proportions are balanced to maintain a mid-height profile, consistent with historical bar and kitchen pass-through door styles. The structure is clean, focusing on the rhythmic pattern of the slats and the organic curves of the frame silhouette.

The download is a 10.9 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is managed as a set of two distinct objects, allowing for independent rotation or animation of the swing action. Users should ensure the pivot points are correctly aligned at the vertical outer edges to simulate the hinge mechanism accurately. The material mapping utilizes standard procedural or bitmap-based wood grain, which can be easily adjusted for scale or colour tinting within the material editor to match specific interior design palettes or lighting conditions.

These saloon doors are ideal for themed hospitality venues, such as bars, pubs, or restaurants looking to recreate a classic western or rustic atmosphere. They also serve as effective character-driven elements in residential kitchen pass-throughs or eclectic home bar designs. Architects and visualisers often search for these when developing period-specific interiors or stylized commercial spaces. They pair well with dark timber cabinetry, brass hardware, and industrial-style lighting fixtures to complete a cohesive, high-contrast interior narrative for both renovation projects and new conceptual designs.
