About this asset

This 3ds Max model features a tropical-style ceiling fan with four dark wood, palm-leaf-shaped blades and a black metal motor housing. The fan features a distinctive organic aesthetic, defined by four wide, leaf-shaped blades rendered in a dark wood finish with visible grain patterns. These blades are attached to a central black metal motor hub via curved support brackets, creating a cohesive silhouette suitable for relaxed, naturalistic interiors. The design avoids sharp, industrial lines, opting instead for rounded, soft geometries that mimic the appearance of dried palm fronds. The assembly includes the motor housing and mounting bracket, providing a complete component for residential or commercial ceiling installations where a resort-style atmosphere is desired.

The download is a 12.9 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised as a single asset for easy placement on ceiling surfaces. Users should ensure the pivot point is correctly aligned at the top of the mounting bracket for rotation animations. Materials are mapped to the blade and housing objects, allowing for quick adjustments to the wood grain or metal finish. Best practice involves grouping the assembly to maintain hierarchy and ensure that texture coordinates remain intact when scaling the fan to fit specific room heights.

This ceiling fan is ideal for residential living rooms, bedrooms, or covered outdoor terraces where a tropical or coastal aesthetic is required. It pairs well with rattan furniture, linen soft furnishings, and timber-heavy interior schemes. Professionals often search for this asset when designing holiday villas, boutique hotels, or relaxed residential spaces that require both air circulation and a decorative feature. It integrates seamlessly into projects focusing on wabi-sabi or casual, nature-inspired design languages, providing a functional yet visually soft overhead element.
