About this asset

This traditional armchair 3ds Max model features a tartan fabric seat and backrest contrasted with textured red leather side panels. This traditional armchair showcases a sophisticated blend of materials and patterns, defined by its dark, polished timber frame. The primary seating surfaces—the backrest and cushion—are upholstered in a classic grey and blue tartan fabric, providing a tactile, structured aesthetic. In contrast, the exterior side panels are finished in a vibrant, textured red leather, adding a bold visual element to the design. The frame includes elegantly turned wooden legs and arm supports, accented with subtle nailhead trim along the upholstery seams, which reinforces the piece's classic, formal character and refined craftsmanship.

Within 3ds Max, this model is structured with distinct material IDs for the fabric, leather, and timber components, allowing for efficient texture mapping and material adjustments. Users should ensure the pivot point is correctly aligned at the base of the legs for accurate placement within a scene. The geometry is clean, making it suitable for integration into interior environments where detailed, high-fidelity assets are required for close-up shots or architectural fly-throughs.

This armchair is an ideal addition to traditional or transitional interior design projects, particularly within residential libraries, studies, or formal living rooms. Its distinctive material combination makes it a strong choice for boutique hotel lobbies or executive offices that require a touch of personality. Professionals often search for this type of accent chair when specifying furniture for period-style renovations or classic interiors that benefit from a mix of patterned textiles and rich, deep-toned leathers to create a focal point.
