About this asset

This traditional SketchUp curtain set features a layered design with a light grey valance, solid drapes, and a patterned under-layer. This window treatment assembly comprises a heavy, solid-coloured grey outer drape paired with a contrasting black and white patterned inner layer. A structured valance with a scalloped edge finishes the top, adding a formal traditional aesthetic. The set includes integrated tie-backs that pull the outer drapes to the sides, revealing the lighter, sheerer inner fabric. The drape geometry features realistic folds and vertical pleats, suggesting a high-quality textile weight. All components are grouped logically within the model, allowing for easy adjustment of the width or height to fit various window configurations.

The download is a 61.4 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this SketchUp model, import the component into your scene and use the scale tool to align it with your window frame. The textures are mapped to the geometry, but you may need to adjust the UV projection if scaling non-uniformly. Placing the curtain on a dedicated layer will help manage viewport performance. For rendering, ensure the inner fabric material has a high transparency setting to achieve an authentic light-filtering effect typical of sheer curtains.

These curtains are suitable for formal living rooms, primary bedrooms, or luxury hotel suites where a traditional or classic interior style is required. They pair well with ornate furniture, hardwood flooring, and neutral wall palettes. Architects and interior designers might search for these when specifying window dressings for residential projects or high-end hospitality fit-outs. Use these assets to add depth and domestic detail to your visualizations, helping to soften the transition between interior spaces and the exterior environment.
