About this asset

This traditional dark wood altar table set for 3ds Max includes a decorative shrine configuration with a central Buddha statue. This traditional altar set features a primary elevated table and a secondary lower stool, both finished in a deep dark wood tone with intricate carved detailing along the aprons. The set is presented as a complete scene, incorporating a central golden Buddha figure placed upon a small riser. The arrangement is complemented by two blue-and-white ceramic vases containing floral stems, alongside two metallic candle holders. The proportions are balanced, reflecting classic oriental furniture design principles, with the components arranged to create a cohesive and symmetrical devotional display suitable for interior architectural visualization.

The download is a 20.2 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this set is organised with logical grouping to allow for easy placement and adjustment within a scene. Users can treat the altar as a single entity or ungroup the individual decorative elements—such as the vases, candles, and statue—to curate the composition further. Applying high-quality wood grain textures to the table surfaces and metallic shaders to the candle holders will enhance the final render, while standard lighting setups should be used to highlight the intricate carvings of the woodwork.

This altar set is ideal for residential interior projects, specifically in living rooms or dedicated shrine areas where traditional or oriental design elements are required. It serves as a focal point in cultural or religious-themed spaces, often paired with minimalist wall treatments to allow the dark wood finish to stand out. Architects and interior designers might search for this when specifying furniture for boutique hotels, heritage-style homes, or meditative spaces, ensuring the cultural context of the room is accurately represented in the 3D model.
