Traditional Black Wood Bench with Rattan Backrest

This traditional black wood bench, modelled in 3ds Max, features an intricate rattan backrest and patterned upholstery with bolster cushions. This ornate bench features a dark-finished wooden frame with elaborate carved detailing on the legs and a central shell-motif crest. The backrest is constructed from woven rattan, providing a textured contrast to the smooth, dark wood structure. The seating surface is upholstered in a geometric patterned fabric, complemented by two matching square scatter cushions and two cylindrical bolster cushions. The piece exhibits a distinct traditional aesthetic, with scrolled armrests and turned, tapered legs that add to its formal character. The overall composition balances rigid structural elements with soft, plush textile accents.

The download is a 94.9 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When incorporating this 3ds Max model into a project, ensure the object pivot is set to the base of the legs for accurate floor placement. Users should leverage the native layer structure to manage the cushion and frame geometry independently. Applying custom fabric textures to the upholstery is straightforward, as the model is UV-mapped for seamless pattern alignment. For optimal rendering, check the material IDs to adjust the wood finish and fabric specular maps according to the specific lighting requirements of your interior scene.
