About this asset

This Scandinavian-style lounge chair SketchUp model features a tufted white fabric seat suspended within a natural wood frame. Defined by its clean, organic silhouette, this lounge chair features a light-toned timber frame with tapered legs and rounded armrest detailing. The seat is composed of a single, gently curved piece of white fabric, finished with subtle button tufting to provide texture and structure. A matching cylindrical bolster cushion is positioned at the headrest for added comfort. The frame's joinery is simple and exposed, highlighting the natural grain of the wood. This piece offers a balanced, lightweight aesthetic suitable for various contemporary interior styles that value minimalist form and functional comfort.

The download is a 21.1 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When integrating this model into a SketchUp project, ensure the object is placed on a dedicated furniture layer to maintain scene organisation. The geometry is clean, allowing for easy material replacement or texture mapping if custom fabrics or wood finishes are required for specific design palettes. Use the component's axes for precise rotation and alignment against walls or within seating groups. If rendering, apply high-quality material definitions to the fabric and wood to capture the subtle highlights and shadows shown in the preview.

This lounge chair is an ideal addition to residential living rooms, reading nooks, or hotel lobby lounge areas. It pairs well with low-profile coffee tables, textured rugs, and floor lamps, creating a relaxed, inviting atmosphere. Designers often specify this style of seating for projects requiring a blend of comfort and mid-century modern influence. Search for it when looking for accent seating that provides a focal point without overwhelming a space, particularly in projects focusing on light, airy, or Japandi-inspired aesthetics.
