About this asset

This Scandinavian lounge chair for 3ds Max features a natural wood frame with a woven rope seat and backrest in a cream finish. Defined by its organic silhouette and craftsmanship, this lounge chair showcases a solid light-toned timber frame with tapered legs and sculpted armrests. The seat and backrest are constructed from tightly woven cream-coloured rope, providing a textural contrast to the smooth wood grain. The frame exhibits classic mid-century influences, with clean lines and a low-profile stance that emphasizes comfort and structural integrity. Every joint is carefully integrated into the frame, ensuring a seamless aesthetic that highlights the natural beauty of the materials. This piece serves as a sophisticated focal point for refined interior spaces.

The download is a 12.2 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is managed through a clean layer structure, allowing for easy selection of the frame and woven components. Users should apply a standard material library to the timber parts to achieve realistic wood grain mapping. The woven rope texture benefits from a high-resolution bump or displacement map to capture the depth of the weave. Ensure the object pivot is set to the floor base for accurate placement within your scene, and adjust the lighting to accentuate the natural material properties.

Ideal for residential living areas, reading nooks, or high-end hospitality lobbies, this lounge chair complements a variety of interior styles ranging from minimalist to rustic. It pairs effectively with low-profile coffee tables or side tables in similar timber finishes. Architects and interior designers often specify this type of seating for projects requiring a sense of warmth and tactile comfort.
