Rectangular Grey Shag Pile Rug

This rectangular grey shag pile rug for 3ds Max features a deep, textured surface designed to add warmth to contemporary interior spaces. This rectangular rug features a dense, high-pile shag construction that provides a soft, tactile aesthetic. The surface is composed of numerous individual strands, creating a layered, voluminous appearance that suggests a plush, comfortable texture. Its neutral grey tone ensures versatility, allowing it to integrate seamlessly into various design schemes from minimalist living areas to cosy bedroom suites. The uniform rectangular geometry makes it a practical choice for grounding furniture arrangements, providing a soft contrast to hard flooring surfaces like timber or polished concrete while maintaining a clean, contemporary profile.

The download is a 3.7 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this rug into a 3ds Max scene, simply merge the asset into your project file and position it directly onto the floor surface. Because it is modelled with high-density geometry to represent the pile, ensure your viewport is set to a wireframe or bounding box mode if performance slows. You can adjust the material settings within the slate material editor to fine-tune the sheen or light absorption of the fibres to match your specific lighting environment and render requirements.

Ideal for residential projects, this rug works well in living rooms, bedrooms, or walk-in wardrobes where a sense of comfort is required. It pairs effectively with modern sofa configurations, low-profile coffee tables, or alongside beds to provide a soft landing. Designers often use this type of floor covering to define seating zones within open-plan apartments or to soften the acoustics of hard-surfaced hotel suites. Search for this asset when specifying soft furnishings, floor textiles, or interior decor elements for contemporary design schemes.
