About this asset

This rectangular grey fabric area rug for 3ds Max features a subtle tonal variation and a clean, defined border detail. This area rug presents a clean, rectangular silhouette suitable for modern interior compositions. The surface texture exhibits a soft, variegated finish characteristic of high-quality woven textiles, providing visual depth without distracting patterns. A distinct, slightly darker border frames the central field, lending a structured appearance to the soft material. The overall aesthetic is neutral and understated, designed to anchor furniture arrangements without overwhelming the floor plane. Its proportions are versatile, making it an appropriate choice for defining seating zones or bedroom layouts where a balanced, contemporary look is required.

The download is a 3.3 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is managed as a flat plane object with applied material maps. Users should ensure the object is placed at the zero-Z floor level within their scene. Scaling should be performed uniformly to maintain the aspect ratio of the border detail. If the fabric texture appears too large or small, adjust the UVW map modifier settings to suit the scale of your specific interior space and camera proximity.

This rug is ideal for residential living rooms, master bedrooms, and boutique hotel suites where a neutral, sophisticated foundation is needed. It pairs effectively with minimalist sofa sets, timber flooring, or stone tiles. Professionals searching for floor textiles, area rugs, or soft furnishings for contemporary projects will find this asset useful for adding realism to floor planes. It is particularly effective for staging interior scenes that require a refined, textile-based element to soften hard architectural surfaces.
