About this asset

This potted prickly pear cactus 3ds Max model features a textured rustic ceramic container and realistic foliage with red fruit. This decorative botanical asset features a multi-stemmed prickly pear cactus, known for its flat, segmented paddles and small, spiny texture. The plant displays a natural sage-green hue, punctuated by deep red fruit developing at the tips of the upper segments. It is housed in a weathered, hand-thrown style ceramic pot with a visible, rough-hewn texture and a subtle, integrated handle detail. The soil surface is depicted with a smooth, light-toned finish, providing a clean contrast to the organic, worn appearance of the vessel, making it a cohesive piece for interior styling.

The download is a 39.3 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this asset into a 3ds Max scene, ensure the texture paths are correctly mapped to the material editor to maintain the fidelity of the rustic pot surface. The model is typically used as a proxy or a high-detail mesh depending on project requirements. Users should check the pivot point at the base of the pot for efficient placement on surfaces like sideboards or shelving units, adjusting the scale as needed to match the surrounding interior design context and lighting environment.

This potted cactus is an ideal addition to residential living spaces, boutique hotel lobbies, or retail showroom displays where a touch of desert-inspired greenery is required. It pairs well with wabi-sabi, bohemian, or rustic interior design schemes, sitting comfortably on consoles, coffee tables, or window ledges. Designers often search for this type of asset to add organic life to sterile architectural visualizations, helping to soften corners and introduce natural colour palettes into modern, minimalist, or eclectic room settings during the final stages of rendering.
