Wabi-Sabi Grey Concrete Bathroom Scene

This wabi-sabi bathroom scene for SketchUp features a minimalist concrete bathtub, shower fittings, and organic timber accents. This bathroom scene captures a serene, wabi-sabi aesthetic through raw, textured concrete walls and a rustic stone-effect floor. The central element is a low-profile, elliptical freestanding bathtub, complemented by a wooden ladder-style shower riser and matching stool. Overhead, timber rafters filter natural light, casting rhythmic shadows across the space, while indoor plants add a soft, organic contrast to the hard surfaces. A slatted wooden window shutter maintains the architectural consistency, ensuring the design feels cohesive and grounded. The composition relies on monochromatic tones and tactile material finishes to create a tranquil, spa-like environment.

The download is a 260 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When working with this SketchUp scene, maintain the established component hierarchy to ensure efficient editing of individual elements like the bathtub or shower hardware. Utilize the scene's existing material slots to swap textures if necessary, or apply custom bump maps to the concrete surfaces for enhanced realism in close-up renders. The lighting setup is optimized for natural daylight; ensure your render engine's environment settings are aligned with the sun position to preserve the intended shadow play across the floor and walls.
