About this asset

This contemporary potted deciduous tree, provided as a 3ds Max model, features a realistic branching structure and a stone planter base. This decorative indoor plant features a slender, multi-branching deciduous specimen with finely textured, light green foliage. The plant is housed in a cylindrical stone-effect planter that rests on a rounded, pedestal-style base, creating a balanced, sculptural silhouette. The pot has a subtle, mottled grey finish that suggests a natural stone or composite material. The overall composition is clean and minimalist, focusing on the organic contrast between the delicate, airy canopy of the tree and the solid, grounded appearance of the stone vessel. It is a well-proportioned asset for interior styling.

The download is a 32.4 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this asset is typically handled as a proxy or high-density mesh. Users should maintain the plant on a dedicated layer to manage viewport performance effectively. Materials are applied to separate geometry for the trunk, leaves, and planter, allowing for easy adjustment of shaders or textures. When placing the model, verify the pivot point is located at the base of the planter for accurate floor-level positioning within the scene. Ensure light paths are configured to account for foliage transparency.

This potted tree is an essential asset for adding organic life to high-end residential living rooms, modern office reception areas, or hotel lobbies. It works well as a standalone decorative element in corners or as part of a curated vignette alongside lounge furniture. Professionals often search for this type of asset when populating architectural visualisations that require a soft, natural touch to balance hard architectural surfaces. It pairs effectively with contemporary minimalist interiors, providing a necessary layer of texture and depth.
