About this asset

This 3ds Max model features a compact pocket cornet rendered in polished brass, suitable for detailed interior scene styling. This model represents a compact pocket cornet, characterised by its tightly wound tubing and integrated valve assembly. The geometry captures the distinctive small-scale silhouette of the instrument, featuring a polished, reflective metallic finish that mimics high-shine brass. The design includes the primary bell, the valve block with three piston valves, and the lead pipe configuration typical of this brass instrument. Every curve of the tubing is rendered to maintain the authentic proportions of the original instrument, creating a clean, high-fidelity asset that performs well in close-up shots or as a background detail.

The download is a 2.6 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into a 3ds Max scene, ensure the metallic material shader is mapped correctly to your render engine of choice to capture the realistic light reflections on the brass surface. The asset is provided as a single mesh object, allowing for simple placement on shelves, desks, or within display cases. Use standard scene units to maintain scale accuracy, and consider applying a subtle bump map to the surface if you require additional texture detail in extreme close-up shots.
