About this asset

This 3ds Max model of an oriental altar cabinet features a dark wood finish with backlit decorative glass side panels. This modular altar cabinet presents a symmetrical, architectural form typical of contemporary oriental design. The structure comprises a central elevated altar platform flanked by two tall storage cabinets. The central section features a decorative back panel with a circular geometric motif. The side cabinets incorporate integrated illuminated glass panels with intricate floral patterns, providing a warm, ambient glow. Beneath the central altar sits a small, matching mobile cabinet unit. The dark wood grain finish is contrasted by pale, metallic hardware accents on the drawer and cabinet doors, maintaining a disciplined, balanced aesthetic.

The download is a 5.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is structured with logical layer management, allowing for easy separation of the cabinet structure, hardware, and lighting elements. Users should apply high-quality wood textures to the main carcass and utilize self-illumination or light materials on the back-lit glass panels to achieve the desired glow. The model is scaled for standard interior scenes, so ensure proper alignment with floor geometry and adjust the pivot point for the mobile central unit if animation is required.
