About this asset

This 3ds Max armchair features an oriental design with a dark black lacquer finish and intricate geometric wood detailing. This armchair showcases a traditional oriental aesthetic, defined by its rigid, architectural frame and dark, high-gloss black lacquer finish. The backrest and armrests incorporate distinct geometric fretwork patterns, characteristic of classical Chinese furniture design. A central wooden panel with a rich brown grain provides a visual contrast to the dark frame. The seat is flat and square, supported by a sturdy base with straight legs connected by stretchers. Its proportions are compact, making it a suitable accent piece for formal living areas or quiet reading corners where heritage-inspired furniture is required.

The download is a 1.7 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model. Open it in 3ds Max; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised with logical hierarchy for easy selection and material assignment. Users can apply custom wood grain textures or adjust the reflection parameters on the black lacquer material to suit specific lighting environments. The geometry is clean, allowing for efficient placement within a larger interior scene. It is best to verify the pivot point is at the base center upon importing to ensure accurate positioning on floor planes or rugs during the furniture layout phase of the project.

Ideal for high-end residential projects, luxury hotels, or boutique retail spaces, this armchair works well in both minimalist and eclectic interiors. It serves as a strong focal point when paired with a low-profile coffee table or placed symmetrically in a formal entryway. Professionals seeking authentic cultural accents for living rooms, study spaces, or quiet lounge areas will find this piece useful. It integrates seamlessly into scenes requiring a blend of historical character and modern production standards within a virtual interior design portfolio.
