About this asset

This modern brown leather and chrome tubular armchair is a 3ds Max model featuring a distinct sling-style seat and backrest design. This modernist armchair features a minimalist aesthetic defined by its exposed tubular metal frame finished in polished chrome. The seat, backrest, and armrest panels are upholstered in dark brown leather, creating a suspended sling effect that provides a clean, geometric profile. The frame follows a continuous cantilevered structure, with the tubing wrapping around the perimeter to form both the base and the arm supports. Exposed hardware at the connection points adds to the industrial-inspired detail, while the slim proportions ensure a lightweight visual footprint suitable for various contemporary interior settings.

The download is a 23.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is typically managed as a single object or a grouped assembly. Users should check the modifier stack for subdivision levels to manage polygon counts during viewport navigation. The leather and chrome materials are mapped with standard textures, which can be adjusted via the material editor to match specific lighting setups. Proper pivot point placement at the base allows for easy snapping to floor planes or placement within modular furniture arrangements in larger architectural scenes.

This armchair is an ideal choice for high-end residential living rooms, executive office lounges, or boutique hotel lobbies where a touch of twentieth-century design is required. It pairs effectively with low-profile coffee tables or as a statement piece in a reading corner. Professionals often search for this item when specifying furniture for mid-century modern or industrial-themed interiors. Its neutral colour palette and iconic form make it a versatile asset for staging projects that demand a sophisticated, curated look.
