About this asset

This SketchUp model features a pair of contemporary organic-shaped rugs with abstract layered patterns and a subtle metallic accent. This set includes two irregularly shaped area rugs featuring flowing, asymmetrical contours. One rug displays a minimalist palette of cream and beige tones with a soft, organic border. The second rug showcases a deeper, gradient-inspired design with concentric bands of terracotta, warm brown, and cream, punctuated by a circular, gold-toned metallic highlight. Both pieces are designed to sit flush with floor surfaces, providing a textural contrast to hard flooring. The free-form edges depart from standard rectangular formats, offering a fluid aesthetic suitable for modern interiors that prioritise soft, organic geometries.

The download is an 11.1 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 2 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, these rugs are provided as flat components, ideal for placement directly onto floor geometry. Ensure the rug components are positioned slightly above the floor surface to prevent Z-fighting. Users can scale these components to suit specific room dimensions or swap the applied materials to match custom textile specifications. If rendering, apply a slight displacement map to the fabric surface to enhance the visual depth of the pile and the metallic detail.

These rugs are well-suited for contemporary living rooms, bedrooms, or lounge areas within residential and boutique hotel projects. They pair effectively with curved modular sofas, minimalist coffee tables, or as standalone statement pieces in a reading nook. Designers searching for organic floor decor will find these assets useful for adding warmth and visual interest to open-plan spaces. They integrate seamlessly into schemes requiring a soft, artistic touch, providing a versatile solution for defining zones in larger interior layouts.
