Organic Cream Plastic and Wood Pebble-Style Sofa

This contemporary pebble-style sofa, modelled for 3ds Max, features a smooth cream plastic shell and a contrasting wood seat insert. Defined by its fluid, organic silhouette, this sculptural sofa mimics the form of a polished river stone. The outer shell is finished in a clean, matte cream plastic, providing a smooth, continuous curve that wraps around the seating area. Set within this frame is a recessed, oval-shaped seat pad crafted from wood with a subtle grain texture. The low-profile design lacks traditional legs, sitting directly on the floor to maintain a minimalist aesthetic. This piece serves as a striking focal point, balancing soft, rounded geometry with the warmth of natural timber elements.

The download is a 3.7 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Integrating this model into a 3ds Max scene is straightforward, as it is provided as a single, clean mesh object. Professionals should verify the scale against the project floor plan before placement. The materials are mapped to separate IDs, allowing for easy adjustment of the plastic sheen or the wood grain texture to suit specific interior lighting conditions. Using a standard physical material setup ensures compatibility with most rendering workflows, while the simple geometry makes it efficient for populate scenes without compromising visual quality.

This sofa is ideal for modern, minimalist residential interiors, such as contemporary living rooms or open-plan lounge areas. It also functions well in high-end hospitality projects, including boutique hotel lobbies or waiting areas where a statement piece is required. Designers often pair this item with low-profile coffee tables or soft, textured rugs to complement its organic curves. Search for this asset when specifying unique seating, sculptural furniture, or avant-garde living room centrepieces for projects requiring a soft, rounded design language.
