About this asset

This SketchUp model features a pair of contemporary off-white fabric curtains styled with a central tie-back for a soft drape. These curtains are designed with a classic gathered heading and a cinched middle section, creating a natural, flowing silhouette. The fabric appears to be a light-weight, opaque textile in a neutral off-white shade, suitable for various interior palettes. The geometry captures the organic folds and creases typical of soft window treatments, providing a realistic look for architectural visualisations. Each curtain panel is symmetrical, allowing for versatile placement on either side of a window or door frame. The model includes the two panels as a set, ensuring consistency in texture and form across the scene.

The download is a 3.8 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 2 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate these curtains into a SketchUp model, import the component and use the scale tool to adjust the height to match your specific window or door openings. Since the model is organized as a component, you can easily mirror or rotate each panel to create a balanced arrangement. Ensure the fabric material is mapped correctly if applying custom textures, and use the move tool to position the base of the curtains so they lightly touch the floor for a natural, grounded appearance.

Ideal for residential bedrooms and living areas, these curtains add a layer of domestic comfort to architectural renders. They work well in hotel suite visualisations or boutique showroom settings where a sense of softness is required. Designers often search for these when specifying window treatments that offer a clean, uncluttered aesthetic. They pair effectively with modern interior styles and can be used in both early-stage design conceptualisation and final high-fidelity presentations to enhance the realism of a room’s lighting and atmosphere.
