About this asset

These off-white fabric curtains for 3ds Max feature a double-layer design with pleated sheer drapes and heavy side panels with tie-backs. This window treatment set consists of a pair of heavy, opaque side curtains and a full-length, vertically pleated sheer under-layer. The main drapes are gathered at the sides with decorative tie-backs, creating a classic, cascading fold structure that suggests a soft, weighted fabric. The sheer layer behind provides a clean, uniform backdrop with consistent vertical pleats across the entire width. The hardware includes small, gold-toned wall-mounted tie-back hooks that anchor the side panels, adding a subtle touch of metallic detail to the neutral textile composition of the assembly.

The download is an 11.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into 3ds Max, ensure the curtains are aligned correctly with the window aperture in the scene. The object is typically managed as a single group or set of layers, allowing for easy adjustment of material IDs or fabric textures. Scale the model to match the specific floor-to-ceiling height of your project, and apply a two-sided material shader to the fabric to achieve realistic light transmission, especially for the sheer layer, which requires transparency mapping.

These curtains are suitable for high-end residential interiors, such as master bedrooms, living rooms, and formal dining areas. They also integrate well into luxury hotel suites where a layered window dressing is required to balance privacy and natural light.
