About this asset

This neoclassical decorative plaster ceiling panel, modelled in SketchUp, features ornate moulding and a central radial medallion. This square ceiling panel is defined by its deep, architectural profile and intricate classical ornamentation. The design features a recessed central field dominated by a circular, fluted radial medallion surrounded by a delicate bead-and-reel border. The outer perimeter is framed by a series of repetitive arch-topped motifs, each accented with refined acanthus-style foliage details at the base. The panel edges are finished with clean, sharp moulding profiles that allow for seamless modular installation. Its proportions are balanced, designed to evoke the grandeur of traditional interior plasterwork while maintaining a singular, cohesive geometric form.

The download is a 29.6 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this component is best managed as a nested group or component to facilitate modular arraying across a ceiling plane. Users should ensure the axes are set to the bottom-left corner for precise snapping during placement. Given the geometry, it is recommended to apply a single, high-quality plaster material to the entire object to maintain uniform light interaction. If integrating into a larger ceiling system, use the native move and copy tools with the snap function to align edges perfectly.

Ideal for period-inspired residential renovations, luxury hotel lobbies, or formal dining rooms, this panel adds depth to coffered or tray ceiling designs. It pairs well with period-appropriate cornicing and wall panelling. Architects and interior designers often search for this type of asset when visualising heritage-style interiors, high-end hospitality spaces, or classical architectural restoration projects. It serves as an effective, lightweight alternative to real plasterwork for digital staging in high-detail interior visualisations, providing an authentic, high-quality finish to ceiling planes.
