About this asset

This neoclassical decorative ceiling panel for SketchUp features a rich brown finish with gold-leaf detailing and a central medallion. This rectangular decorative ceiling panel exhibits a formal neoclassical aesthetic, defined by its layered geometry and intricate surface ornamentation. The central element is a circular medallion with radiating spokes and a detailed relief centre, framed by gold-toned accents. The surrounding field is finished in a deep matte brown, accented by subtle white pin-lights and corner motifs. The outer border features complex stepped moulding and decorative gilding, adding depth and shadow lines typical of high-end interior plasterwork. The proportions are balanced, intended to serve as a focal point for traditional or luxury interior design schemes.

The download is an 11 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this ceiling panel into a SketchUp scene, import the component and snap it to the underside of the ceiling plane. Use the scale tool to adjust the panel to your room dimensions, ensuring the texture mapping remains consistent. Because the model is structured as a single object, it is best placed on a dedicated layer for ceiling elements to maintain clear model organisation. Apply custom lighting profiles to the recessed areas to highlight the gold accents and relief details.

This panel is suited for formal living rooms, grand dining areas, or luxury hotel lobbies where a traditional or neoclassical ceiling design is required. It pairs effectively with heavy cornicing, period-style wall panelling, and classic chandeliers. Architects and interior designers searching for ornate ceiling details, decorative plasterwork, or classical architectural elements will find this asset useful for visualising high-end residential or hospitality interiors during the design development stage. It is an ideal solution for adding period-accurate character to virtual interior environments.
