About this asset

This 3ds Max model of a modern wooden armchair features a distinct natural wood frame, a blue fabric seat, and a white backrest panel. Constructed with a robust solid wood frame, this armchair showcases an angular, geometric silhouette reminiscent of mid-century design. The structure features prominent, splayed legs that connect to the armrests in a unified, architectural form. The seat is fitted with a flat, blue fabric cushion, providing a soft contrast to the warm, textured grain of the wooden frame. A simple, rectangular white backrest is set into the frame, creating a clean visual balance. This piece offers a balanced mix of raw material expression and functional, comfortable seating, suitable for various interior compositions.

The download is a 22.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this asset into a 3ds Max scene, use the merge command to import the chair into your project file. The geometry is organised with logical material IDs, allowing for quick adjustments to the fabric textures or wood shaders via the material editor. Ensure the pivot point is set to the base of the legs for accurate placement on floor surfaces. Scale the object to match your scene units before applying any final lighting or camera placement to ensure correct proportions.
